Today let us say, “Lord, I will follow You.” I accept Your invitation to bring the Good News about You to others, wherever I may be, as a great and important mission. I will follow in Your footsteps along Your roads and paths. Lord, You are my life — my past, my present, and my future.

Dear Brothers and Sisters,
This Sunday we read the fourth chapter of the Gospel according to Matthew. In the fourth chapter, verse 18, we read: “As Jesus was walking by the Sea of Galilee, He saw two brothers, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew, his brother, and He said to them, ‘Follow Me.’”
The central theme of today’s Gospel is vocation. The voice of the Lord God, Jesus Christ, calls each one of us. And we hear His voice just as the first Apostles did: “Follow Me.” God sees me where I am, where I work, and what I do in my life. God sees my hopes, my dreams, and my aspirations.
Today, let us ask: Lord, what are Your plans for me and for my family? For you are the one who knew me even before I was born. Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, I am certain that the Lord God will give us His answer if we sincerely pray and ask. He will tell us and show us our vocation. Indeed, we see many priests, many religious sisters, and many people who serve as members of parish councils and various charitable organizations. We see how these people fulfill their vocation and spread their love to others.
Today let us say, “Lord, I will follow You.” I accept Your invitation to bring the Good News about You to others, wherever I may be, as a great and important mission. I will follow in Your footsteps along Your roads and paths. Lord, You are my life — my past, my present, and my future. May the merciful Lord God, through our prayers today, on this Sunday, show us the true path and the true vocation that He has prepared for us in life.
